Anika Parashar, Founder & CEO of The Woman's
Company is a powerhouse of a woman, and a name that is
synonymous with several brands focused on women's care
and health. Her work over two decades has been highly
respected and given credit through a well-deserved feature
in the 3rd Edition of 50 Women of Pure Wonder in India and
The Pride of India Award.
Having grown up across the globe, Anika was exposed to
cultures in Hong Kong, Canada, the U.K, and India. She
kicked off her professional career in India at Mahindra
Retail in 2008 when she relocated from London, setting up
Mom & Me stores, and centers for expecting and new
mother's as part of their complete offering of both products
and services. With investment from Fortis Healthcare, she founded Mamma Mia in 2011- India's first
and only comprehensive holistic health chain spanning across the nation. Mamma Mia, provides
information, fitness and wellness solutions for women who are trying to conceive children, expecting or
new mothers, all under one roof. She moved into the role COO of Fortis La Femme in 2015, where she
led the team to successfully expand the brand from One to Four hospitals across the country, finally
approaching healthcare in a more whole manner, encompassing solutions for all women's healthcare
needs beyond just Obstetrics.
Anika's entrepreneurial ventures have stemmed from the gap she recognised through her own personal
struggles and experiences. When faced with the challenge of finding a donor heart for her mother, Anika
realised the need for a dependable, organised system that Indian families could rely on, to support them
and help out their ailing loved ones. ORGAN India - Organ Giving and Receiving Awareness
Network, was born in 2013 and focuses on spreading awareness about Organ Donation and Transplant
across India. In addition to spreading awareness, and offering support through a helpline and an online
guide, the organization works very closely with the Health Ministry and even represented India in the
World Transplant Games of 2021.
The Woman's Company was inspired by Anika's search for biodegradable and organic period products
for her daughter Inayat. On a fair amount of research, none of the players in the market ticked all the
boxes. With increasing rates of cancer, PCOS, Endometriosis amongst other lifestyle diseases, the need
for chemical free products became crucial. Add to that the planet in crisis due products that do not
decompose, the need to make impact with a solution for Women's Health and the planet became evident.
With her Co Founder Roopam Gupta, Anika founded The Woman's Company in 2020 as an ideology
with the sole aim to create a world where women's health and well-being matters. The brand has
innovated with eco-conscious products MADE in INDIA such as a Teen Pad, a fully biodegradable
Urination Device amongst several others.
She has worked with reputable organizations such as Mahindra & Mahindra, The National Childbirth
Trust, BSKYB, Channel 4 and Old World Hospitality, amongst others. Her aim is to continue sharing her
professional and personal experiences, and inspire those around her, especially women, to live authentic
lives and discover the limitless power within themselves.
